Despite the fact that many – if not most – partnering endeavours take place remotely, the use of technology to enable collaboration across large physical distances has not received much dedicated attention.
In light of this gap in the knowledge base, two of the founding PEP partners (PRC and PBA) are currently engaged in a joint project to explore ‘remote partnering’, which is currently being developed as an online learning programme. A series of outputs are available at this link.
Questions being explored include the following:
How does online communication help or hinder relationship-building? How can conflicts be resolved in the absence of in-person meetings? Are there examples where partnering can be more effective due to the distance of partners?
